Iron Resource Guide
Iron and the pickaxe were added through the official expanded demo. Treat deposits as current-build resource nodes and verify each use from the active construction or technology interface; no fixed coordinates, yields or costs are asserted here.
The field decision

Quick facts
- Pumping Station is explicitly named by the developer.
- Landing Drone Pad is explicitly named by the developer.
- Construction demand determines whether the sale fallback applies.
- With no ore demand, automatic sale is intentional.
- Iron deposits and a pickaxe are verified expanded-demo features.
- Deposit positions and yields are not documented as permanent official constants.
- The live requirement board is the reliable source for where iron is needed.
- Unplanned mining can delay the more immediate oil-production constraint.
Current-build changes: 1.0.1
Construction drones should deliver Metal Ore to supported unfinished structures, including the Pumping Station and Landing Drone Pad, after 1.0.1. Check whether the target is actually under construction and still requesting ore before following a drone. A timber shortage, completed target or wrong resource is a different problem from the delivery bug addressed by this patch. The Iron Mine drone now takes Metal Ore for sale when no construction site needs it. Seeing ore leave the mine for a sale destination can therefore be expected behavior in 1.0.1. Before treating a sale as a missing delivery, check every active construction request. The official note describes the fallback condition, not a configurable sale priority menu.
Walkthrough
- 01
Read the field
Confirm the next build or unlock actually requests iron before starting a mining trip.
- 02
Stabilize the bottleneck
Use the current in-game map and visible terrain rather than a copied coordinate list.
- 03
Record the result
Record how much the active task consumes without presenting it as universal.
- 04
Choose the next move
Return to the field loop when the stated iron dependency is cleared.

Common mistakes
- Applying pre-patch advice to construction drone metal ore delivery without comparing the corrected behavior.
- Applying pre-patch advice to iron mine drone automatic selling without comparing the corrected behavior.
- Treating an editorial troubleshooting step as an officially tested workaround.
Current context: patch 1.0.1. Historical demo mechanics remain qualified; check the source ledger before treating them as current-build behavior.
